About the Role

The Shift Lead position at Banfield is a dynamic hybrid role designed to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on paraprofessional duties. This position exists to ensure hospital productivity and superior client care, particularly when the Practice Manager or Chief of Staff are not present. On average, the role is split between 20% leadership duties and 80% paraprofessional responsibilities, requiring the incumbent to exercise sound judgment in prioritizing tasks based on the daily needs of the hospital.

As a Shift Lead, you will live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc., serving as a vital link between the veterinary team, clients, and pets. Your day-to-day involves managing the flow of clients and pets to maximize efficiency, actively recruiting new clients, and providing exceptional service. You will act as the "extra eyes, ears, and hands" for veterinarians and technicians, handling everything from client education on preventative care and wellness plans to managing finances, maintaining medical charts, and ensuring the safety of all patients and associates.
