About the Role

As a Server at Courtyard Norfolk Downtown, you will be the face of our dining experience, responsible for providing prompt, friendly, and accurate food service. Your day will involve more than just taking orders; you will be the bridge between our kitchen and our guests, ensuring that every meal is delivered hot and every interaction is memorable. From greeting guests with a warm smile and using their names to guide them through our menu options, you will create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our commitment to hospitality.

You will handle the full cycle of guest service, including inputting orders into our POS system, preparing specialized coffee drinks, and managing payments. Beyond the dining floor, you will play a vital role in maintaining our "Spotless Cleanliness" standard by clearing and resetting tables, assisting with inventory prep, and ensuring the restaurant remains organized and safe. This role requires a "Can Do" attitude, where you are willing to pitch in across front and back-of-house areas to support the team and meet the dynamic needs of our hotel guests.

Hiring Process

While experience in hospitality or consumer-facing service is preferred, our primary focus is on your ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and provide friendly service. Candidates must be available for a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. If selected, you will be expected to adhere to strict attendance and punctuality standards, clocking in and out accurately for all shifts and breaks.
