The SEO/GEO Executive Lead is the senior practitioner on the team, equally at home conducting a technical audit, leading a client strategy session, or reviewing roadmaps with engineering. You will lead a team of SEO specialists, own the relationship with senior client stakeholders, and personally drive the quality and direction of the work. This role is for someone who has executed at scale, knows what excellence looks like, and can bring others along without losing sight of execution.
You will own the end-to-end SEO strategy across large, complex web environments, from technical foundations through content and measurement. While you will lead the strategy, you will also step into execution mode when necessary—resolving crawlability issues, structuring migration plans, or troubleshooting indexation at the page level. Your goal is to hold yourself and your team to deadlines while creating the conditions for others to succeed.
Beyond technical ownership, you will translate business priorities and platform changes into clear, sequenced SEO roadmaps. You will provide practical, prioritized guidance to content, development, UX, and analytics stakeholders, communicating confidently with senior clients by framing SEO decisions in terms of business impact and risk. You will also build for scale by designing workflows that reduce manual work through enterprise SEO platforms, automation, and custom scripting.
Finally, you will lead, coach, and quality-check the work of SEO specialists, fostering a team culture where craft, accountability, and intellectual curiosity are the norm.
Candidates for this role will be evaluated based on their ability to demonstrate experience in technical SEO, enterprise-level tooling, and leading large-scale transformations. The process includes reviewing your background in partnering with engineering and your understanding of how content, structure, and authority affect LLM visibility (GEO).
