For decades, the computing revolution has reshaped our world, driven by breakthroughs in compute, connectivity, mobile, and now, AI. Google's XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap: the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices; it's about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. We are building a future where lightweight XR devices like smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences.
As a Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Quant UXR), you will join a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating closely with Engineering and Product Management to create industry-leading, innovative products. You will drive impact at all stages of development by investigating user behavior through empirical methods like log analysis, survey research, and regression. Beyond the work, you will grow within a supportive Quant UXR community offering mentorship, regular meetups, and exclusive internal tools to help you thrive.
At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." As a Senior UX Quantitative Researcher, you make this possible. You will define and measure quantitative UX goals, developing code and statistical models to understand user experience. Your work will involve conducting empirical research using methods from computer science, quantitative social science, statistics, and econometrics to extract meaningful patterns from large data sets.
In this role, you will examine existing data and product designs to generate hypotheses and plans for high-impact research. You will prioritize and drive research to improve user experience, communicating findings to stakeholders in a way that is convincing and actionable for both research experts and non-experts. You will also have the opportunity to drive progress, solve complex problems, and mentor more junior team members, bringing deeper expertise and applied knowledge to the team.
By applying to this position, you will have an opportunity to share your preferred working location from the following: San Jose, CA; Miami, FL; New York, NY; or San Francisco, CA.
