We are currently expanding and strengthening our transportation practice in our Edison, NJ office. This strategic initiative aims to build scalable in-house capabilities to support bridge, roadway, and infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey and New York, particularly for NJDOT and NYSDOT clients. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead and oversee preparation of Maintenance and Protection of Traffic plans for bridge and roadway projects
- check_circleSupport and lead traffic impact studies and operational improvement projects
- check_circleCoordinate with structural and civil engineers to develop practical and constructible staging solutions
- check_circleServe as technical authority and task lead on traffic-related assignments
- check_circleParticipate in site visits and constructability reviews to evaluate existing traffic conditions
- check_circleContribute to proposals, qualifications packages, and business development efforts
- check_circleDevelop traffic control, signing, and pavement marking plans in compliance with DOT and MUTCD standards
- check_circleAssist with agency coordination and client engagement regarding traffic and work zone impacts
- check_circlePerform and review traffic engineering analyses including capacity, signal, and corridor studies
- check_circleProvide technical support during construction administration phases
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- verified8–25 years of traffic engineering experience
- verifiedNJ PE required
- verifiedNY PE strongly preferred or ability to obtain
- verifiedPTOE certification preferred
- verifiedExperience with NJDOT, NJTA, NYSDOT, or NYCDOT standards
- verifiedProficiency in AutoCAD
- verifiedAuthorized to work in the United States
Nice to Have
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a Transportation focus, New York PE license or ability to obtain it, PTOE certification, signal design and timing experience, proficiency in MicroStation.
