The Senior Systems Administrator is a hands-on, technical role designed to support and advance the organization's IT infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, and enterprise application environments. This position blends advanced systems administration, cloud solutioning, and operational support with a strong emphasis on disaster recovery readiness and enterprise system reliability.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-oriented professional capable of balancing strategic cloud initiatives with day-to-day ticket support. You will serve as a key resource for Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalations, troubleshooting complex hardware, software, network, and cloud-related issues. Beyond technical execution, this role involves mentoring junior and mid-level IT staff, contributing to the improvement of helpdesk processes, and collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure the seamless operation of critical enterprise systems, including ERP environments.
Your work directly impacts the organization's resilience and security posture. You will be responsible for overseeing enterprise backup solutions, performing regular restoration drills, and ensuring that Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) are consistently met. In a landscape requiring adherence to strict security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and CMMC Level 2, your expertise in vulnerability management, system hardening, and audit participation is vital to maintaining compliance and protecting sensitive information.
This role operates within an office or remote office environment but requires the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support critical infrastructure. Candidates must be prepared to travel within the US and internationally. A key prerequisite for this position is the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and a Common Access Card (CAC), with no bars to installation.
Reasonable accommodations will be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable federal, state, and local laws. Candidates are expected to meet qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards, with allowances where necessary under the ADA, FMLA, and other relevant laws.
