This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS) within HII's Mission Technologies division. Our group comprises live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) solutions, fleet sustainment, nuclear and environmental services, and Australia business operations. As a trusted partner to military customers, HII designs, develops, and operates the largest LVC enterprise, preparing warfighters for cross-domain battle. With a holistic approach to life-cycle maritime defense systems—from small watercraft to submarines and aircraft carriers—we ensure a high state of readiness. For over 40 years, the U.S. Navy has entrusted HII to maintain and modernize the vast majority of its fleet. Additionally, we support the Department of Energy's national security mission through site management and the safe cleanup of legacy waste across the country.
Our team of more than 7,000 professionals worldwide delivers all-domain expertise and advanced technologies in service of mission partners. We are leading the next evolution of national defense—the data evolution—by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions, ranging from C5ISR and AI to cyber operations and synthetic training environments.
The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) System Administrator serves as a critical guardian of the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN). In this role, you will administer, maintain, and provide cybersecurity defense for the client and server infrastructure supporting enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications. You will work closely with team members and other departments to update, monitor, and maintain servers and workstations across the enterprise.
Your day will involve ensuring the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network administrators, and evaluating vendor products to make hardware and software recommendations. You will develop and monitor policies for computing resource allocation, manage system documentation, and tune system performance. Beyond technical maintenance, you will play a key role in training junior personnel and providing Tier 2 technical support, requiring you to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
At HII, leadership is a mindset, not a title. Through our Leadership Capability Framework, every team member contributes to our mission and culture by:
We build the world's most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space, and cyber. Regardless of your role or where you serve, you will find a supportive and welcoming environment, competitive benefits, and valuable educational and training programs for continual career growth at every stage of your career. Together, we are working to ensure a future where everyone can be free and thrive.
