This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Senior System Safety Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. In this onsite role, you will lead one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs, performing critical safety tasks and analyses throughout the product lifecycle. You will collaborate across integrated product teams and lines to eliminate hazards or provide effective controls, working closely with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through production, demilitarization, and disposal.
Your day-to-day will involve coordinating with customer safety representatives to gain safety approval from appropriate Safety Review Board authorities, interpreting system requirements and military standards, and preparing internal and customer reports. You will brief the safety of the program at technical reviews as part of the safety approval process, collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required as only citizens are eligible for such clearances.
