Genentech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Statistician to drive data-driven drug development strategies across all phases of clinical trials within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. This role is pivotal in leading the statistical design, planning, and analysis of clinical studies, ensuring rigorous scientific validity and regulatory compliance.
In this position, you will apply advanced statistical methods—including group-sequential procedures, combination tests, and hierarchical testing strategies—to evaluate biomarker subgroups and plan event-driven analyses. You will be responsible for preparing statistical methodology sections for clinical protocols, Statistical Analysis Plans, and regulatory briefing materials. Your work will directly support internal governance and regulatory decision-making by interpreting data to inform dose-selection and progression decisions at key meetings.
You will also play a critical role in defining statistical decision rules and safety-monitoring boundaries for Independent Data Monitoring Committees (IDMC) and Integrated Management Committees (IMC). The role requires liaising with global health authorities and building collaborative partnerships with cross-affiliate stakeholders to support product development, processes, and compliance initiatives.
This position is based at Genentech's South San Francisco location (1 DNA Way) but offers the flexibility to telecommute 100% from any US location.
