You will support a highly motivated engineering team in defining, designing, and sustaining security solutions for National Security Systems and other government-engineered platforms. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with current standards within the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework, Special Publications, Committee on National Security Systems Instructions, and Federal Information Processing Standards. You will partner with system developers and commercial product vendors to evaluate state-of-the-art secure systems, networks, and database products, utilizing methods such as encryption technology, vulnerability analysis, and security management to achieve system accreditations.
Your day-to-day work involves collaborating across the DevSecOps lifecycle, from creating data flow diagrams and performing trade studies to executing Static Application Security Testing (SAST) for compliance. You will help define and manage security architectures for both on-premises data centers and secure cloud-based environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), ensuring robust vulnerability management and risk mitigation strategies are in place.
