About the Role
Success Academy Charter Schools, Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialist, Competitive Math to join our Education, Training & E-Learning department. This role is designed to design and lead advanced math enrichment and competition preparation for elementary and middle school scholars across our network. You will serve as a catalyst for academic excellence, developing rigorous curricula, coaching teachers, and analyzing data to drive measurable results.
In this position, you will collaborate across schools to model high-impact instruction and support professional development within an innovative, results-driven, and continuously improving culture. Your work will directly influence how our students engage with advanced mathematical thinking, ensuring they are prepared for local and national competitions while aligning with broader school instructional goals.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign and refine rigorous, competition-oriented math curricula for elementary and middle school students
- check_circleDevelop challenging problem sets, practice materials, and enrichment resources aligned to competition standards
- check_circleAnalyze student performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for acceleration
- check_circleCollaborate with school leaders and teachers to implement best practices for high-level math instruction
- check_circleProvide coaching, training, and ongoing support to teachers delivering competitive math instruction
- check_circleLead workshops, model lessons, and professional development sessions focused on advanced mathematical thinking
- check_circleCoordinate student participation in local and national math competitions including preparation and logistics
- check_circleResearch emerging practices in gifted education to keep the program at the cutting edge
- check_circlePartner with central office teams to communicate program outcomes and recommend strategic improvements
Requirements
- verifiedState teaching certification in Mathematics or Elementary Education (or eligibility/preferred)
- verifiedAdvanced coursework in mathematics, math education, or related field
- verifiedDemonstrated experience with math competitions (e.g., Math Olympiad, AMC, MathCounts)
- verifiedFormal training in data-driven instruction or assessment design (preferred)
Nice to Have
State teaching certification in Mathematics or Elementary Education (or eligibility), Formal training in data-driven instruction or assessment design
