Senior Special Security Technician

About the Role

Prescient Edge is seeking a Senior Special Security Technician to support a federal government client in Huntsville, AL. This role is critical to safeguarding national security interests by serving as the primary subject matter expert for the Controlled Access Program (CAP), Special Access Programs (SAP), and Special Access Required (SAR) initiatives supporting USSPACECOM.

In this position, you will partner with the Special Security Officer (SSO) to ensure rigorous control over access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCI Facilities (SCIFs). Your day-to-day involves managing the lifecycle of security clearances, conducting security briefings and indoctrinations, and processing eligibility requests for military, government, and contractor personnel. You will act as the guardian of vital command mission interests, implementing protocols to actively reduce risks of espionage, terrorism, and unauthorized disclosure.

As a key advisor, you will provide detailed knowledge of DoD and Intelligence Community policies, executing "cradle to grave" security and program protection strategies. You will also train and manage personnel on individual program protection requirements, ensuring all operations and analysis decisions meet strict DoD and USSPACECOM standards.

Requirements

To be considered for this mission-critical role, candidates must possess a Top Secret/Secret clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI POLY), or have the ability to obtain one immediately.
