About the Role
This position is critical to maintaining the integrity and performance of our clients' mission-critical environments. You will serve as a key technical resource, responsible for the full lifecycle of database management. Your day-to-day involves installing and upgrading database servers and application tools to ensure the latest versions are in use, while allocating system storage requirements to meet operational needs. You will collaborate closely with application developers to modify database structures as required, enforcing strict policies for security and integrity.
Beyond maintenance, you will manage user access permissions, monitor system performance to implement optimization changes, and perform regular backups to ensure data recovery. The role also encompasses debugging, performance tuning, and creating detailed database reports. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to documenting database specifications and performance metrics to facilitate troubleshooting and future development initiatives.
