About the Role
Dematic is seeking a Solution Design Controls Engineer to join our Customer Service Solution Development team. This role is critical for estimating and designing comprehensive controls solutions for our customers, with a specialized focus on Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). You will serve as a technical bridge between complex system requirements and actionable project estimates, ensuring our solutions are both innovative and practical.
In this position, you will work within a dynamic environment where you interpret complex schematics and PLC programs to define material specifications. Your day-to-day involves collaborating with the solution development team to provide estimates for semi-complex projects, while also identifying opportunities for productivity improvements and cost reductions. You will be responsible for resolving complex technical challenges, transferring knowledge across teams, and providing guidance to professional staff. The role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in electrical controls and strong communication skills to effectively discuss unusual problems and sell ideas to customers.
Team Context
As part of the Customer Service Solution Development team, you will play a key role in supporting sales requests by generating concepts and estimates for material handling equipment. This includes specialized Dematic equipment such as the Multishuttle, as well as storage and retrieval machines, split case palletizing, and pallet conveyors. Your work directly impacts our ability to deliver high-quality, integrated controls solutions that meet customer needs.

Requirements
