Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the group pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners. The AUS division focuses on defining, architecting, and delivering software products for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the Saab AUS team, helping to expand our portfolio of products, technologies, and capabilities. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain tremendous experience with unmanned maritime software and systems while solving difficult problems that deliver critical capabilities to our customers.
Unlike many software positions, you will see how your efforts contribute to the entire lifecycle and success of a delivered system. You will work with a team of engineers to design, implement, and maintain software across Linux, Windows, and embedded platforms. Your work will span the full product lifecycle, from development and prototyping to integration, verification, and support. You may even have the chance to witness the systems you help build operated at sea.
Saab is a company where diversity is seen as an asset, offering unlimited opportunities for career advancement. We respect each person's needs and encourage employees to lead a balanced, rewarding life beyond work. As a federal government contractor, we adhere to policies necessary for sustaining drug-free workplaces and are committed to being an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other protected category.
Due to the nature of our defense programs, this position requires U.S. citizenship. Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including holding or obtaining a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance.
