Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the group pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for unmanned maritime systems. As a leading defense and security company, Saab helps nations keep their people and society safe by delivering advanced technology to the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
We are seeking an innovative Senior Software Engineer to join technical teams defining, architecting, and delivering software for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This role is designed for a key contributor who wants to see their efforts impact the entire lifecycle of a delivered system. Unlike many software positions, you will gain tremendous experience with unmanned maritime systems and may even witness the systems you help build operated at sea.
You will partner with a team of engineers to solve difficult problems and expand our portfolio of products and capabilities. Your work will directly support the success of our customers by providing needed capabilities in complex environments. You will be part of a culture that values diversity as an asset and encourages employees to lead balanced, rewarding lives beyond work.
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen in adherence to federal government contractor policies for sustaining drug-free workplaces.
Saab is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and an Affirmative Action employer for protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. We consider qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected category. We respect each person's needs and offer unlimited opportunities for advancing in your career.
