About the Team

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We are the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We tackle the most challenging problems, managing thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. We collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost. As part of the AWS Supply Chain team, you will build systems that enable AWS to rapidly grow and remain the pioneer and widely recognized leader in Cloud Computing. Your work will have a direct and immediate impact on the hundreds of thousands of developers and businesses around the world who use AWS every day. Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems are at the heart of ensuring we provide customers with the right computing services, in the right region, at the right time. The team is responsible for building inventory and warehouse management systems that enable control of our global footprint for our hyper-growth cloud and automate the orchestration required to ensure physical and financial control of inventory.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will guide your team through the design, development, testing, and deployment of a range of products. You will help build roadmaps for software teams and develop cutting-edge experiences. This role offers a unique opportunity for technical leaders who want to work closely with the business in defining, designing, building, and operating products used by millions of customers. We maintain a very flat team structure, fostering an environment where you can deeply innovate on behalf of our customers.

Requirements

  • verifiedMaster's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
  • verifiedKnowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals (preferred)

Nice to Have

6+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Master's degree in computer science or equivalent. Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.
