About the Role
The client is seeking a talented Senior Software Developer/Data Scientist to join a multi-disciplinary team of subject matter experts. This role is critical in supporting the U.S. Air Force Cyber Capabilities Support Office and the U.S. Cyber Command Cyber Mission Forces. The position requires a candidate who currently possesses a Secret clearance and has direct experience with the Big Data Platform (BDP).
In this capacity, you will develop machine learning, data mining, statistical, and graph-based algorithms to analyze complex datasets. You will be responsible for prototyping various algorithms, selecting final models based on performance metrics, and building experiments to generate data when training sets are unavailable. A key part of your day involves generating reports and visualizations that summarize datasets and provide data-driven insights to customers. You will partner closely with subject matter experts to translate manual data analysis into automated analytics and implement prototype algorithms within production frameworks for integration into analyst workflows.
Beyond technical execution, you will take the lead on software development projects. This includes determining organizational needs, assessing the feasibility of solutions to challenges, and creating comprehensive plans for software development.
