MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a significant contract with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientist - IT Services to provide full-time support to the CBP Air and Marine Operations Center in Riverside, California. This role is designed to apply advanced scientific, analytical, and technical expertise to enhance C4I systems, ISR capabilities, and data-driven mission operations.
This is a contingent position based on the successful award of the contract to MAG Aerospace. If the contract is awarded, selected candidates are guaranteed a first right of refusal for the position. While the award date is tentative, the projected start date is September 2026.
In this position, you will serve as a critical bridge between complex data environments and mission-critical decision-making. Your work will focus on developing innovative approaches to improve system performance, predictive analysis, and overall operational effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to integrate analytical solutions directly into operational systems, ensuring that data-driven insights translate into actionable threat detection, situational awareness, and operational planning.
The day-to-day involves evaluating emerging technologies for their applicability to mission needs, conducting research to refine predictive capabilities, and providing technical reports and briefings to government stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with strict security and data handling requirements while supporting high-tempo, mission-critical operations within a federal environment.

Our compensation philosophy is transparent and flexible. Salary is determined by a combination of location, education, skills, experience, and contract-specific requirements.
