About the Role
This pivotal position seeks an exceptional Phased Array RF Design Engineer to champion Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects and drive technical trade studies. The role is designed for a subject matter expert with an entrepreneurial approach who can collaborate across technical experts, business development, and senior leadership.
You will serve as a mentor throughout the engineering organization, providing guidance to fellow engineers while addressing customer and mission needs through technical analysis. Success in this role involves utilizing advanced RF and Phased Array simulation tools to create innovative hardware solutions, ensuring our commitment to reducing SWaP-C (size, weight, power, and cost) while advancing RF hardware capabilities.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree and 15+ years experience (or Master's with 13 years, or 19 years without degree)
- verifiedSTEM degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- verifiedDigital and Analog Phased Array design experience for multi-beam AESAs and ESAs
- verifiedRF Link Budget, cascade analysis, Signal Analysis, S-parameters, matching networks, filtering, and nonlinear effects
- verifiedExperience with RF performance of passive and active components (amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, etc.)
- verifiedRF hardware design for VHF, UHF, microwave (L, S, C, X, Ku, Ka, V bands)
- verifiedAdvanced user of ADS, HFSS, SystemVue, MATLAB, and ECAD tools
- verifiedEngineering leadership experience (IPTL, PI, Chief Systems Engineer, or Chief Engineer)
- verifiedTS/SCI Security Clearance (preferred)
Nice to Have
TS/SCI Security Clearance, MMIC or RFIC Design Experience, RF Hybrid Multi Chip Module (MCM) experience, Advanced user of RF lab equipment including Network Analyzers, Signal/Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, and RF Power Sensors, Ability to troubleshoot RF systems, payloads, modules and complex RF issues down to the component level, Schematic and PCB layout experience using Xpedition or Cadence, Team leader experience guiding a team of RF engineers, MATLAB, Python, or similar programming experience for RF design and data analysis.
