The Effectors Center within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) organization is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Tucson, AZ location on the Coyote Block 2C - Rocket Motor program. SE&TC offers an exciting and challenging environment where you will design, develop, and partner with multi-disciplinary teams to shape innovative solutions for our customers.
This role serves as a management and technical leadership position responsible for the development, integration, and test execution of sensor, aperture, communications, electronics, and electrical subsystems, alongside the systems engineering of the missile. The Coyote Block 2C-RM development effort is a rapid development initiative designed to insert technological upgrades within existing systems to fill critical customer capability gaps.

This position is an Onsite role, meaning employees will work primarily onsite as they are essential to the development of our products.

MS or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics. Ability to work independently and with SMEs, CEs, LSEs, and other program stakeholders to make informed technical design decisions. Foundational understanding of electrical, electronics, and radio frequency systems. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM). Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks. Experience with requirements management and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools (i.e. Cameo). Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations. Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities; working on rapid development programs or fast-paced environments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures.
