The Advanced Effector Guidance Systems (AEGS) Department within Raytheon Hardware Engineering provides Electrical Systems Engineering to develop Electronic Systems solutions for products across the Raytheon portfolio. We partner with several Electrical Product Team departments that provide the detailed design of our electrical products as well as systems teams. Our core electrical engineering responsibilities include architecture, requirements, integration, and test, utilizing technologies such as RF/RADAR, Navigation/IMU/GPS, Data Link/Communication, Digital, and Power.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleChair technical reviews and set technical strategy and trade space across programs
  • check_circleArchitect high reliability power systems and precision analog subsystems for guidance electronics
  • check_circleLead power architecture trade studies, technology evaluations, and down‑selections
  • check_circleOwn cross‑subsystem interfaces and drive complex multi‑disciplinary issue resolution
  • check_circlePerform detailed analysis of power system loads, margins, thermal impacts, and electromagnetic compatibility
  • check_circleGuide teams through component selection, derating, survivability requirements, and high‑reliability screening
  • check_circleSupport hardware bring‑up, prototype evaluation, root‑cause analysis, and design refinement
  • check_circleMentor senior talent and adjudicate partner/supplier work as a technical authority

  • verifiedMinimum 10 years experience in power electronics, analog design, mixed-signal design, or high-reliability electronics

Nice to Have

Advanced Degree such as Masters/ PhD. TS or TS/SCI clearance. Experience with missile systems, guidance electronics, harsh‑environment power systems, or seeker/power integration. Experience leading multi‑company efforts. Hands‑on experience with lab bring up, prototype testing, instrumentation, and failure analysis. Experience with VHDL‑AMS/MAST, State‑AMS, mixed‑signal and state‑aware models. Expertise in high‑density or high‑efficiency power conversion, power sequencing, energy storage interfaces, or precision power control. Experience with environmental qualification, MIL‑STD design, and systems operating in shock, vibration, and thermal extremes. Proficiency with SPICE simulation, modeling tools, and power/analog design best practices. Understanding of EMI/EMC mitigation, grounding strategies, and system‑level power integrity. Experience in program leadership, technical direction, or multi‑disciplinary coordination. Mastery of harness effects, power quality, EMI/EMC, and Signal Integrity. Working knowledge of MIL‑STD‑704, MIL‑STD‑1275, MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑464, MIL‑STD‑1553, MIL‑STD‑1760, RS‑422/RS‑485, Ethernet/TSN. Familiarity with Model‑Based Engineering, requirements management, and digital engineering practices.
