This Senior Principal Electrical Engineer role spans the full product lifecycle—from business capture and development to production, testing, and sustaining—for a variety of complex defense products and technologies. You will join a team passionate about developing first-of-its-kind technologies and equipment to protect warfighters.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers, as well as product managers and stakeholders, to develop excellent solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, quality, and reliability of electronic products through rigorous design, analysis, and testing. The ideal candidate thrives in Agile hardware development environments and is a strong advocate for risk-reduction prototyping and requirements-driven design and verification. Competence in digital/analog/mixed signal electronics fundamentals and interface/communication standards; Knowledge and experience with FPGA Design; memory interfaces such as DDR, QSPI; data transfer protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, JESD 204, I2C, JTAG, MIL-STD-1553; and experience in power supply (DC to DC) design; Experience with electrical engineering tools for design, schematic capture and analysis; Experience using Cadence tools for printed board assembly (PBA, PCB) design; Familiarity with design, analysis, and manufacturing standards associated with complex multilayer rigid and rigid-flex CCAs; Knowledge of engineering development processes for aero/defense industry, including designing and testing to MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461; A self-starter with Agile hardware development experience; Exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness; Control account management experience; Experience with LRIP / FRP, specially electronics manufacturing and test methodologies; Familiarity with AS9145 compliant processes; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Active DOD security clearance
