The Senior Embedded Software Engineer is a technical position within the Effectors Center of the Software organization. You will work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment to architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy software for Firmware (FPGA) and Hardware solutions. Your work will support current and next-generation autonomous avionics systems, ensuring they meet critical needs for hardware operation, time-critical functions, functional reliability, mission assurance, and safety.
You will collaborate with Product Owners, Chief Engineers, Management, and cross-discipline team members using Lean and/or Agile practices. Your goal is to ensure embedded software is designed and developed to reliably operate toward its intended functions. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff, while contributing to proposals and design reviews.

Familiarity with reading electrical schematics and relating it to software function. Familiarity with reading firmware source like VHDL or Verilog. Familiarity with assembly language in at least one processor/controller family. Experience using lab instruments like power-supplies, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers. Experience with developing device drivers for bare-metal and/or OS applications.
