About the Role
This is a hybrid #W2 position based in Reston, VA, within the DCEE - Data Propagation line of business. The Senior Platform Engineer will serve as a critical technical resource for our Informatica Intelligent Data Management on Cloud (IDMC) ecosystem. The role focuses on developing and setting up Informatica on the cloud, while leveraging a self-service workbench to drive efficiency.
You will be responsible for automating repetitive tasks related to the provisioning, installation, configuration, and management of AWS infrastructure. This involves utilizing tools such as Terraform, GitLab, Ansible, and Python to streamline operations. The position requires deep expertise in AWS services including EC2, SSM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and Lambda, alongside experience with Spark, Amazon EMR/Hadoop, PySpark, and AWS Glue.
A key component of this role involves providing 24/7 production support. You will troubleshoot complex issues and support customers in a high-availability environment, requiring strong time management and technical presentation skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
