We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Facilities Engineer for a direct placement with a client focused on national defense projects. This role is dedicated to providing comprehensive HVAC and Plumbing design services. The position is hybrid eligible, offering flexibility while maintaining the collaborative environment necessary for complex engineering tasks.
A critical requirement for this role is U.S. citizenship; dual citizenship is not permitted for client projects. The candidate must hold a current passport and be capable of obtaining a Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance. The client is willing to sponsor eligible candidates for this clearance.
As a Mechanical Facilities Engineer, you will lead the detailed phases of HVAC and plumbing design. Your work will involve creating calculations, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and layouts for mechanical equipment and associated systems. You will develop construction specifications, test and inspection plans, and system design descriptions. The role requires evaluating standard techniques for less complex projects while applying judgment to adapt methods for non-routine and more complex assignments. Additionally, you will perform engineering quality assurance checks and support new project proposals with mechanical discipline scopes, budget estimates, and schedules.
