About the Role
This position is dedicated to providing safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse services by handling customer products and materials using specially equipped trucks, including slips-sheets, clamps, and reach equipment. The role encompasses all phases of loading, unloading, staging, and storage, while also utilizing computer equipment for order processing and record-keeping.
Team Context & Methodology
The team operates under the APL Logistics Continuous Improvement (ACI) Model, focusing on operational efficiency, waste elimination, and increased proficiency. We apply the 5S Lean methodology to sustain a safe, clean, and orderly facility. Success in this role requires meeting and occasionally exceeding company standards for warehouse safety, food safety, sanitation, quality, productivity, and customer service.
Hiring Process
Candidates must possess a valid Forklift Certification. The role requires the ability to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, tow motors, and various pallet jacks, along with basic data entry and math skills. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to make decisions regarding customer acceptance based on experience.
