Senior Manager of Proposal Writing (US State & Local Health and Human Services)

About the Role

This position serves as a strategic leader within the proposal development function, acting as an experienced information architect who designs and structures content for complex, customer-facing documents. The role exists to ensure that high-value and complex projects are not only compliant but compelling, translating technical and operational details into persuasive narratives that drive business growth.

You will function as a key resource for the writing team, implementing deal-specific structures and serving as a backup to the project director. The day-to-day involves interpreting RFPs, RFQs, and IFBs to craft winning strategies, while collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and technical experts. A significant portion of the role is dedicated to mentorship, guiding junior team members and fostering a culture of high-quality, original writing in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
