This position serves as a strategic partner in driving high-value proposal success, acting as an experienced information architect who designs and structures content for complex customer-facing documents. You will lead the development process for intricate projects, translating technical and operational details into compelling, compliant narratives that win business.
In this role, you will function as a resource for the writing team, implementing deal-specific structures and serving as a trusted backup to the project director. The position requires a unique blend of strategic oversight and hands-on writing, where you will interpret RFPs, RFQs, and IFBs to craft winning themes and executive summaries that highlight the company's strengths.
Your work involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, technical experts, and graphic designers, to build comprehensive proposals. You will conduct comprehensive research and utilize strong interviewing skills to extract critical information from subject matter experts, ensuring every proposal is original and persuasive.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to managing relationships with key stakeholders and clients, participating in meetings and presentations to support proposal discussions. You will also mentor junior team members, review feedback to enhance proposal quality, and maintain a library of content and templates to streamline future efforts.
