About the Team
As a Capital One Machine Learning Engineer (MLE), you will join an Agile team dedicated to productionizing machine learning applications and systems at scale. Our mission is to leverage existing and emerging technology platforms to drive innovation, ensuring high availability and performance for our machine learning infrastructure.
About the Role
This Senior Manager position sits at the intersection of Operations, Modeling, and Data Engineering. You will lead the detailed technical design, development, and implementation of machine learning applications, focusing on architectural design and the review of model and application code. The role offers the opportunity to continuously learn and apply the latest innovations and best practices in machine learning engineering.
In this capacity, you will collaborate with Product and Data Science teams to solve real-world business problems. You are expected to inform infrastructure decisions based on a deep understanding of ML modeling techniques, including model selection, feature engineering, and validation. Your day-to-day involves solving complex problems through code, automating tests and deployment, and maintaining models in production. You will also ensure that all code is well-managed to reduce vulnerabilities and that models adhere to best practices in Responsible and Explainable AI.
