This position is dedicated to service execution, uptime protection, and reducing mean time to repair rather than mechanical system design. The primary objective is to build, lead, and continuously improve an in-house self-perform maintenance program. This ensures the team possesses the capability, processes, and discipline to safely execute maintenance and troubleshooting activities within a mission-critical environment.
You will lead the onsite mechanical facilities technician team responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of mission-critical cooling and HVAC systems. As a direct manager, you will provide day-to-day leadership, work prioritization, coaching, and performance management. Your focus will be on overseeing large-scale mechanical and cooling infrastructure—including chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, and cooling towers—while managing vendors and enforcing strict safety and service standards.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC technology, facilities management, or related field; equivalent technical and field leadership experience also valued. Experience with mission-critical cooling infrastructure including chillers, CRAH/CRAC systems, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, valves, and mechanical distribution systems. Familiarity with BMS/controls integration, alarm response, trend analysis, and service coordination with automation teams. Experience with preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, CMMS systems, energy optimization, and service KPI tracking. EPA Section 608 Certification preferred where refrigerant-handling responsibilities apply. HVAC trade license or mechanical certification where applicable. OEM training or manufacturer certifications related to chillers, cooling systems, controls platforms, or critical mechanical equipment preferred. OSHA 30 preferred.
