About the Role

The Senior EMI Effects Engineer is a pivotal onsite role based in Marlborough, MA, responsible for the architecture design of electronics for extremely low electromagnetic emissions and high tolerance to external electromagnetic interferers. This position focuses on applications including EMSEC and electronic warfare, with a specific emphasis on the design of advanced missiles and similar systems.

In this role, you will develop architecture for new designs to support technical execution within the Department. You will contribute to the development of suitable components and subsystems that achieve performance requirements at the system level. As a technical leader, you will serve as the visible and accountable contact for technical decisions, ensuring products and processes meet appropriate standards while advising leadership on risk conditions and constraints. You will act as the primary technical contact for customers regarding requirements, technical commitments, IRAD, and future technical needs. Additionally, you will participate in major review boards, such as the Engineering Review Board, Failure Review Board, and Risk and Opportunity Review Board.

Hiring and Interview Process

This position requires a U.S. government-issued security clearance (Secret or higher). The ability to obtain and maintain this clearance is mandatory, and U.S. citizenship is required as only citizens are eligible. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
