The Senior EMI Effects Engineer serves as a critical architect for electronics designed for extremely low electromagnetic emissions and high tolerance to external electromagnetic interferers. This role is central to applications in EMSEC and electronic warfare, with a specific emphasis on the design of advanced missiles and similar systems. The position requires deep expertise in applied methods to control self-interference in high-gain, high-speed, low-noise advanced sensor systems, including radar and electro-optic guidance units.
You will be responsible for the architecture, application, and advanced design of electronic subsystems that have successfully achieved high performance in the field. This includes defining grounding strategies, power distribution, shielding, partitioning, and noise-reduction methods. As a visible and accountable technical leader, you will serve as the primary technical contact for customers, managing requirements, technical commitments, IRAD, and future technical needs. You will also participate in major review boards, such as the Engineering Review Board and Failure Review Board, ensuring that products and processes meet appropriate standards while balancing risk conditions and constraints.
This is an onsite role located in Marlborough, MA. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required U.S. government-issued security clearance. An active DoD Secret clearance is required upon day one.

Master's Degree in chosen Engineering/Technical Field. Currently hold a DoD issued security clearance of Secret or higher. Experience manufacturing and/or assembly of EMI-critical products. Ability to provide detailed documentation related to test planning, EMI test plans and EMI procedures and test reports with minimal revision and review. Knowledge of automated EMI test techniques and programming, specifically using TILE. Knowledge of MIL-STD-461 test techniques and MIL-STD-464 Design Hardening techniques including grounding/ bonding and lightning. Experience with EMI 3D Modelling tools, HFSS, CST Microwave, COMSOL, EMC32.
