Key Responsibilities
- check_circleArchitect and build control and data plane implementations for a highly available, multi-tenant ML platform
- check_circleDevelop Ray and Spark distributed compute engine solutions to accelerate LLM pre-training and data processing
- check_circleEngineer systemic improvements for operational excellence by automating KTLO workflows
- check_circleLead system design and code review sessions while staying current on emerging technology trends
- check_circleMentor internal talent and actively recruit external candidates to bolster the engineering talent pool
- check_circleDirect technical execution of a diverse project portfolio involving distributed microservices and foundation models
- check_circleCollaborate cross-functionally with product and program management to optimize business outcomes
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in CS, AI, EE, CE or related plus 10 years AI/ML experience
- verifiedMaster's degree in CS, AI, EE, CE or related plus 8 years AI/ML experience
- verified10+ years experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
- verifiedWork authorization sponsorship available
Nice to Have
Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Hands-on experience in the internals of Ray (Actors/GCS/Scheduling) or Spark (Query Optimizer/Memory Management). Experience building platforms that support LLM training, fine-tuning, or high-throughput inference. Hands-on experience with AWS-specific compute primitives (EKS, EC2 UltraClusters, Graviton) and cost-optimization strategies. History of upstream contributions to major distributed systems projects.
