Senior Data Integration Engineer/Designer/Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Integration Engineer/Designer/Architect to lead the design, development, and stability of our enterprise data ecosystem. This hybrid role, based in Peoria, IL, serves as a critical bridge between business requirements and technical execution. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and maintainable data pipelines that power our organization's decision-making processes.

In this position, you will not only build robust ETL/ELT solutions using IBM DataStage, SnapLogic, and Python but also provide strategic architectural guidance for cloud adoption and platform modernization. You will work closely with product owners, analysts, and offshore teams to ensure seamless delivery across time zones. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment where they can mentor team members, establish coding standards, and drive initiatives in automation, observability, and data quality.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve translating complex business needs into high-level and low-level technical designs. You will spend significant time developing data models and transformation logic for both batch and real-time pipelines within the Snowflake and AWS ecosystems. Beyond development, you will act as the primary point of contact for production issues, analyzing root causes and implementing permanent fixes to ensure system reliability and SLA compliance.

You will also dedicate time to strategic planning, evaluating emerging tools and contributing to reference architectures that future-proof our data infrastructure. Collaboration is key; you will communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and partner with QA and project managers to enable smooth project delivery.
