The DMET (Data Management, Enablement and Transformation) team is dedicated to developing a long-term sustainable capability that leverages data and technology to transform tax and finance functions. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in transforming how we design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines to enable seamless data flow and support various initiatives at Koch Industries. This position requires hands-on expertise in SQL and Python coding and acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data engineering, helping position the organization for scalability and future industry advancements. You will partner closely with solution and data architects on design and implementation, collaborating with various capability teams to drive effective and scalable data solutions.

Familiarity with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling. Strong experience working with Snowflake data warehouse and cloud infrastructure in AWS. Proficiency with GitHub or similar version control tools. Prior exposure to orchestration or pipeline tools such as Apache Airflow or Prefect. Experience with distributed events and stream-processing, such as Kafka. Experience with observability tools, such as Grafana or Datadog. Understanding of data governance, security protocols, and compliance. Knowledge or hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts, frameworks, or model deployment.
