At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat.
You will join the Receiver Exciter and Processing Architecture (REPA) Department, a team dedicated to designing, architecting, and implementing signal processing algorithms on high-performance platforms. Our work involves CPUs, FPGAs, and GPUs on COTS and semi-custom hardware to power next-generation radar systems deployed on land and sea. We solve tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.
As a Senior Computer Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will bridge the gap between hardware and software to support the development of critical defense systems. This role is designed to split time between Linux system administration of high-performance processing platforms and supporting the testing of specialized hardware.
You will work directly within a team of hardware and software engineers to support the build, integration, and testing of custom processing hardware. Your day-to-day will involve administering RedHat Enterprise Linux environments for real-time systems, configuring Ethernet and Infiniband networks, and writing Python and Bash scripts to automate verification testing. Additionally, you will assist in architecting hardware systems to meet performance needs and update FPGA firmware using Quartus.
