We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the Patriot Software Team in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Patriot is the world's pre-eminent air defense system, and we are currently developing software to support new system capabilities. In this role, you will work closely with software developers, system architects, and product leads to ensure that our solutions meet customer requirements.
You will contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts the success of our products globally. This position operates within a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) environment and offers an optional 9/80 schedule to support work-life balance. The role requires exclusive onsite presence.
This position is based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Living in this area provides easy access to the ocean and locations of historical significance. Active Secret security clearance. Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, particularly in high-concurrency and distributed systems. Experience with multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization in complex environments. Experience with Network Communication Protocols, Shell Scripting (tcsh, csh, bash), software development tools like Git/Clearcase, software debuggers, and using embedded RTOSs (e.g. VxWorks, Integrity). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
