The Budget and Finance department is a vital component of Finance and Administration at the University of South Dakota. Reporting directly to the Director of Budget, the team is dedicated to a commitment to excellence and serves as a strategic resource for the entire university community. As a Senior Budget & Financial Services Specialist, you will serve as a key institutional resource within the Budget Office. This role is designed to provide expert guidance across major budget development activities and support high-level financial planning for the University. You will partner closely with the Director of Budget on forecasting and reporting, while providing deep expertise in budget policy, financial analysis, and long-range planning.
In this capacity, you will coordinate and deliver analytical support for governance and oversight committees, such as the University Budget Committee. You will also lead the modeling and distribution processes for tuition and fee revenue, ensuring accurate financial projections. The role requires preparing and responding to ad hoc financial analyses and information requests, ensuring strong stewardship of overall budget authority.
