The SDA T2 infrastructure team leverages Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) to deliver modern solutions that support customer operations and information management services. We value strong software development best practices and a proven track record of delivering and deploying cloud-ready applications and services.
We are seeking software engineers to join our dynamic team, focusing on operating, maintaining, and sustaining an AWS cloud operational system. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our Kubernetes-based cloud architecture and implementing security automation using tools like AWS EventBridge, GuardDuty, and Inspector. You will also support Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and assist in migrating third-party toolchains to AWS native solutions. Beyond technical execution, you will write and maintain comprehensive documentation for developers, administrators, and operators, ensuring consistency across baselines through version tagging and naming schemes.
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, which may only be granted to U.S. citizens. Applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Familiarity with Agile workflow tools and collaborative version-control practices (Git, JIRA, Confluence). Experience with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). Experience managing licenses within cloud environments. Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Splunk sidecar, CloudWatch, AWS Forwarder). Experience with iterative software development processes (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban). AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Associate.
