The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting serves as a strategic partner to the VP/Controller and SVP/CFO, driving clarity into the Credit Union's performance through precise financial analysis and reporting. This position is pivotal in safeguarding the organization's integrity by overseeing all finance-related regulatory requirements, including the accurate and timely preparation of the NCUA 5300 Call Report. Beyond standard reporting, the role provides essential accounting guidance across the organization, ensuring sound internal controls protect the Credit Union's assets.
In this hybrid capacity, you will be deeply embedded in the monthly close process, managing the accounting function for both the Credit Union and its CUSO entities. Your work ensures the completeness and accuracy of financial results, directly supporting Board and Committee presentations with high-quality materials. The role demands a blend of technical accounting expertise and diplomatic communication, as you will frequently collaborate with various departments to resolve reconciling items and explain complex financial concepts with discretion.
Our headquarters are located in Syracuse, NY. We operate on a Hybrid Model that requires a minimum of 5 days in the office per month, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining flexibility.
