About the Role
Become part of an iconic brand set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck and rugged SUV marketplace. This role is designed to support the financial integrity of Scout Motors Inc. and its non-consolidated entity, Scout Motors Sales LLC, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance as we build products and a company from the ground up. You will be a key partner in achieving our mission by managing complex financial landscapes, from general ledger maintenance to intra-group accounting within the VW Group structure.
Location & Work Model
This role is based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. The position requires a minimum of 4 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. Applicants should expect the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and the flexibility to travel occasionally to participate in company events on behalf of the organization.

- check_circleManage and maintain the general ledger ensuring accurate journal entries and compliance with accounting standards
- check_circleEnsure compliance with intra-group regulations and support monthly consolidation reporting for VW Group Accounting
- check_circleManage capitalized development costs and assets under construction in accordance with IAS 16 and IAS 38
- check_circleComplete accounting and financial statements for Scout Motors Inc. non-consolidated entity Scout Motors Sales LLC
- check_circleProvide detailed financial analysis and insights on performance to highlight areas for improvement
- check_circleInterpret technical accounting standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist in developing policies
- check_circleSupport audit preparation including reconciliations and analyses of financial data
- check_circleIdentify opportunities for process improvement and automation within accounting operations to increase efficiency
- check_circleSupport accounts payable processes and system migrations
- check_circlePrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- verifiedCPA, CA/ ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred
- verifiedMinimum of 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- verifiedExtensive knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- verifiedExperience managing general ledger, financial reporting, and intra-group transactions
- verifiedProficiency in SAP S4/HANA and Microsoft Excel
- verifiedMust be 18 years of age or older
Nice to Have
CPA, CA/ACCA, or equivalent certification. Experience within the automotive industry or a multinational corporation.
