Vaco is partnering with a global supply chain client to support a dynamic accounting team in Wichita, Kansas. This role is designed for a Senior Staff or Senior Accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to manage multiple projects while mastering various areas of accounting. Previous public accounting or audit experience is highly preferred, as it translates effectively to the diverse responsibilities of this position.
About the Role
This position goes beyond traditional full-cycle accounting. You will serve as a key partner for North American entities, managing the end-to-end accounting cycle including general ledger analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany transactions. The role involves preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, while supporting critical month-end and year-end close activities.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and shared service centers across multiple regions and time zones to ensure compliance with internal controls and local statutory requirements. The day-to-day work includes reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, managing multi-state payroll tax activities, and assisting with both internal and external audits. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes and systems, participating in special projects and ad hoc financial analyses to support group reporting and consolidation efforts.
