About the Role
We are seeking motivated Entry Level and Experienced Security Officers to join our expanding team. This position is ideal for those looking to change careers or find a new start. While the title is Security Officer, this specific role functions primarily as a Loss Prevention position within a lumber yard environment.
In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers entering and exiting the facility. Your day will involve checking vehicles in, providing directions to products, and verifying that purchased items match what is loaded into customer vehicles or trailers. You will utilize handheld computers to check orders and count purchased products, requiring a good understanding of computer systems and the building industry. The role demands strong communication skills as you will interact frequently with the public, as well as physical stamina for walking on concrete, particularly during busy summer months.
