About the Role
The Security Officer serves as the visible guardian of our community, ensuring the safety and security of everyone on the premises. This role is vital to fostering a sense of peace and trust among residents and their families. You will be the first point of contact for safety concerns, patrolling grounds and buildings to ensure they are well-lit and secure. Your presence acts as a deterrent to potential intruders while providing reassurance to residents.
In this position, you will monitor access points, observe video feeds, and maintain communication with the office. You will be responsible for securing doors in the evening, logging resident movements, and managing incoming calls when the office is closed. Beyond routine patrols, you will respond personally to the needs of residents and staff, assisting local emergency personnel when necessary. Success in this role requires making independent, sound judgments within established policies and maintaining the confidentiality of resident information.
