As a Security Architect, you will serve as the strategic leader in transforming our security posture through the adoption of Zero Trust and micro-segmentation architectures. Your primary mission is to eliminate implicit trust across all environments and enforce strict access controls, effectively reducing the organization's attack surface and limiting the potential reach of adversaries.
In this role, you will drive the transition from legacy trust models to a modern, resilient security framework. You will work closely with application teams, infrastructure administrators, and program areas to develop and distribute robust Zero Trust security patterns. Your work ensures that as the data center project matures, all services and resources operate with the necessary controls to mitigate risk while maintaining operational efficiency.
Your day involves a deep dive into the current state of services across all environments and locations to identify reliance on implicit trust. You will assess resources with elevated privileges, determining the specific controls needed to apply the principle of Least Privilege. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to analyzing the impact and risk of compromise for high-privilege areas, ensuring that any additional segmentation implemented effectively limits access without hindering operations.
You will also be responsible for developing the procedures and tools required to audit and maintain these Zero Trust environments. This includes creating audit and remediation tools to continuously monitor and enforce Zero Trust rules, ensuring the architecture remains robust against evolving threats.
