About the Role
We are seeking motivated, resilient, and energetic Summer Sales Representatives to join our seasonal direct-to-home sales team. As a 1099 Independent Contractor, you will have the unique opportunity to build your income through commission-based earnings while gaining valuable sales experience in a fast-paced, competitive environment. This role is designed for college students, recent graduates, or anyone looking to maximize their summer earnings.
In this position, you will engage homeowners directly at their residences to discuss pest-control services. You will represent Hawx with integrity, professionalism, and high energy, managing your time in the field to maximize opportunities. You will receive comprehensive coaching and training to continuously refine your sales approach, contributing to a supportive team culture while tracking your own performance goals.
Location and Logistics
This is a seasonal role for Summer 2026 (typically May–August) located in Nashville, TN. The position requires temporary relocation to the selling market. To support this, Hawx provides fully furnished, move-in-ready housing. Candidates must have reliable personal transportation to navigate the selling region and be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Compensation and Growth
This is a commission-only role with high earning potential directly tied to performance. While earnings vary based on results, the average first-year sales intern earns approximately $24,840 over the course of the summer, with top performers earning significantly more. Full-time university students are also eligible for a $2,500 scholarship. For top performers, there is a clear opportunity for career growth within Hawx beyond the summer season.
