About the Role
As a Local CDL Driver, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, responsible for safely operating a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Your day involves reading route sheets to service each customer, performing routine vehicle inspections, and handling physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance. You will interact courteously with customers while navigating a work environment that includes exposure to outdoor weather, fumes, and mechanical risks.
