The Nonclinical Drug Safety (NDS) division is seeking a motivated biomedical engineer or integrative systems scientist to join the Safety & Exploratory Pharmacology (SEP) group. SEP collaborates with discovery research, preclinical, and clinical development partners to identify and develop effective, safe therapeutics. The team utilizes a purposeful blend of standard screening tools, regulatory-enabling assays, and forward-looking innovative solutions to understand potential major organ system pharmacodynamic risks, ultimately influencing drug development strategy.
This role is designed for an individual contributor who will complement existing team expertise and help drive future innovation. You will analyze physiologic signals to contribute to risk assessment evaluations and develop data visualizations for scientific exploration. A key part of your mission involves building new in vivo analysis tools using signal processing, machine learning, and AI for nonclinical data, as well as refining or developing new endpoints.
You will work closely with external vendors to identify and incorporate potential solutions, while collaborating with internal data science and IT teams to implement data tools. Your work will integrate new analysis workflows into SEP and contribute to initiatives aimed at developing and characterizing novel alternative methods (NAMs) alongside in vitro scientists. The successful candidate will possess the attributes and interest to develop their career toward increasing levels of responsibility and independence within the team.
Current employees should apply via the internal Workday link. Contingent workers should apply via the specific contingent worker link. For US and Puerto Rico residents requiring an accommodation during the application or hiring process, please complete the designated survey. Applications are accepted through the company's main jobs portal or the Workday Jobs Hub for current employees.
