About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in a K-12 school, college, or university campus environment. This position is ideal for individuals just entering the workforce or returning to it with limited experience and education. No prior experience or specific degree is required, as comprehensive on-the-job training is provided.
As a custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of assigned areas, which may include classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways. Your day-to-day tasks involve sweeping, mopping, and removing debris, as well as emptying trash receptacles and managing recycling. You will also clean and dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, polish hard surfaces like woodwork and stainless steel, and maintain restrooms to high standards. Additionally, you may perform seasonal tasks such as raking leaves, cutting grass, or removing snow, and you will be expected to notify supervisors of any necessary repairs.
